Sheila Hawkins is the owner of Third Eye Group, a productivity firm based in Detroit.  She is an excellent facilitator and consultant with a passion for assisting people and community.  She has a background in accounting, human resources and project management and more than 25 years of hands-on experience in the corporate, non-profit and private arenas. Hawkins has specialized in professional organizing and project management services for over 19 years, serving individuals and companies of various sizes.

Sheila has been dubbed The Do It In Time DivaTM because of her time management expertise.  She's also known for her excellent organizing skills and her ability to transform and personalize the environments and systems that she creates for her clients and helping people increase their productivity.

In June 2000 Sheila was a single mom with a young son and about to be laid off from the human resources position she had with a Tier I automotive supplier.  When a friend asked her what she was going to do, she told her that she really didn’t know. The job market was tight and she really wanted to work for herself and use the gifts that she had to assist others, but had no clue what that looked like.  A friend suggested that she “do what she had always done.” When she asked her what she meant, she said that for as long as she had know her, she had always been organizing things and people and moving projects along.  TEG was born!

About a year after that Sheila did find a job to help support her during her transition.  She ran her business/saw clients while working part time and eventually became a full time entrepreneur engaged in organizing office spaces and helping people increase their productivity.  She then expanded the business platform to include electronic and additional virtual products.

Hawkins helps busy entrepreneurs, solopreneurs and small business owners get the most out of their time, increase their productivity and positively impact their bottom line by helping them create new habits and environments that support them, get things done and still have time left for themselves and family.  Services include office organizing, time management, productivity training and coaching, and project management.  Additionally, the company provides workshops and electronic products for individuals, business owners and company work teams.  Sheila is a contributing writer for The New Face of Leadership magazine, WomenMoneyPower.com i-Magazine, the Detroit Black Pages and is a contributing expert to Own Your Power Communications.  She is currently writing her first book.

Over the course of the years, Hawkins has delivered hundreds of courses in the form of virtual, live, recorded events, group and one-on-one coaching sessions and speaking engagements.  She has also developed and led hands-on, interactive productivity learning opportunities, provided project planning and management instruction, consulting for collaborative social entrepreneurial projects and created leadership development curriculum.  As a result she has touched and assisted thousands of people over time.

Along with her passion for assisting people and community, Sheila brings a strong sense of commitment to everything that she does and believes in always putting her best foot forward and striving for the best.  Her focus is always on individuals, their challenges, how she can help them and keeping her eyes on the prize to make the big picture come to fruition.  Sheila’s desire to use her gifts and talents to serve people is what motivated her when she started her business, still motivates her now and keeps her going.  Over the years she has experienced a few set-backs; two of them major, but has always been able to persevere.  She contributes that to her tenacity, strength and being able to keep her eyes on the prize, knowing that everything happens for a reason and that there is a lesson in all of life’s experiences, no matter what they bring. Sheila absolutely loves what she does and cannot imagine a life without it.  It’s not just about simply organizing a work or home space, creating personalized systems that support productivity and managing time effectively, or creating goals with a roadmap to get there.  It’s about guiding people through a process and eliminating the clutter and blocks they have within themselves along the way.  She believes in using her gifts and talents—what she loves to do, to work with people to impact their lives in a way that is transformational.

Currently, Sheila is planning for and creating new products and services based upon the needs exhibited by her current clientele and others she’s interacted with.  This includes a national tour with the presentation of a new seminar in the works.  She will also begin traveling to clients throughout the country to assist with organizing their environments and other productivity needs.  She will publish her first book in spring of 2012.
