Did you know that there are a lot of people who don't accomplish what they set out to do?
Do you make resolutions every year, then wonder how to get beyond that point or get off to a great start then loose steam before February rolls around? Do you make your resolutions during the chaos and confusion of the holiday season?
Are you ready to put an end to this destructive pattern and get some things done?
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, you've come to the right place, and I'm excited about helping you! One of the primary reason that people don't make good on their New Year's resolutions is because they make the resolutions and don't know how to carry them out. Another challenge is making those resolutions during the fast-paced holiday season, instead of before or after the holiday season. The first mistake they make is not taking that resolution and turning it into a goal. Additionally, nearly 97% of adults don't have written goals or a plan for carrying their goals out. Would you attempt to drive a significant distance, not having been there before without a map? Of course not! There is no way you would just get on the road and figure it out as you go along, hoping to end up in the right place without going in the wrong direction, wasting your time or your gas. Although people wouldn't think of getting on that road without a map, so many people do this very thing when it comes to the goals they want to accomplish. When you look at this analogy, you can see how it makes no sense at all to get on the road to your accomplishing goals without knowing how to get there. Without that map you're on the road to nowhere fast.
Here's where the difference is-Taking New Year's resolutions and making then into goals, and then putting them into writing is what begins to make the difference. Couple them with a plan of action, strategies, tools and a system to support you through the process.
I discovered many years ago as a young adult, that it I was going to get from Point A to Point B I not only had to know where I wanted to go, but also what to do to get there. I began searching for something that would support me in accomplishing my goals. I put the things that I learned into a system to support me and began taking my resolutions and turning them into goals to carry out. Over time, I've tweaked that system here and there and came up with a solid way to get from Point A to Point B and have coached clients from their Point A to their Point B.
